About Your Fayda
Fayda Number is a digital identification number which will serve as a unique proof of identity for an individual based on the “one person, one identity” principle due to its biometric identifier technology. Fayda is a 12 digit unique identification number issued by NIDP to residents who fulfill the required procedures put in place by NIDP. A resident who holds a Fayda Number will be able to get access to any digital based services given all over the country.
Data Collected for Fayda registration
For Fayda, only the demographic data and biometric information is collected, solely for the purpose of uniquely identifying the individual. With the principle of collecting minimal data, the following data have been identified as the crucial information needed.For demographic data; Full name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, and Current Address are collected. For biometric data; fingerprint, iris, and face photograph are collected for absolute identification measures. Other fields such as Phone Number and email address are optionally used to deliver the unique FIN (Fayda Identification Number) for the resident
